We are sorry to announce that the planetarium at the university of Toronto has closed. Our little inflatable dome operated from 2009 to 2019, when it was closed to make room for research labs. There are plans to build a new, permanent planetarium on the campus of the University of Toronto, but that will not be available for several years. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore our other offerings, including our Speaker’s Bureau and our Star Finders.

If you came here looking for information about hosting an event at the McLaughlin Planetarium next to the Royal Ontario Museum, please be aware that it closed to the public in 1995 (see: the Wikipedia page about the McLaughlin).

Planetarium programming in the greater Toronto area is still available via a number of mobile planetarium providers. We don’t recommend any particular one, but you will find several of them via Google.

If you are able to travel, the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium in Montréal is a fantastic facility.
