Request Eclipse Viewers

On June 10, 2021, much of northern Canada will be treated to an annular solar eclipse. Viewers across much of the rest of Canada will be able to observe a partial solar eclipse.

We would be happy to send you a free set of Eclipse Viewers. Here are the important details:

  • We can only ship to Canadian addresses.
  • One order per household. Duplicate orders to the same address will not be honoured.
  • We will be distributing glasses to individuals, families, and small community groups. If you would like a set of Eclipse Viewers (and an accompanying educational kit) for use in a school setting, please see our partners at Discover the Universe.
  • The last day to place an order is May 10, 2021. All Eclipse Viewers will be mailed in two batches in late April and mid-May, 2021, via Canada Post standard Lettermail. Tracking will not be available but, unless there are extended Canada Post delays, we expect all Eclipse Viewers to arrive well before the June 10 eclipse.

All Eclipse Viewers come with a descriptive handout about the June 2021 annular solar eclipse in both English and French, as well as safety instructions in six Indigenous languages: Inuktitut (Nunavut), Inuktitut (Nunavik), Swampy Cree, James Bay Cree, Oji-Cree, and Ojibway (Western). Full descriptive handouts in Indigenous languages will be available for download.

Our Eclipse Viewers are produced by Rainbow Symphony, a reputable manufacturer of certified-safe solar viewing equipment.

Thank you for your interest in our Dunlap Eclipse Viewers. Unfortunately, the Eclipse Viewers are now out of stock. We will update this page and post on social media if we are able to obtain more.
